When your wedding is over, the cake is gone and the flowers have wilted, you'll still have your memories of that day.  You should also have photographs to keep those memories alive and fresh in the years ahead.   Choosing your photographer, one that can capture those special moments of your day, is just as important as the food, the flowers and the wedding dress that you've so carefully selected.

Professional photographers, like florists, caterers and reception halls, book weddings well in advance, particularly for spring and summer.  Keep this in mind when planning your wedding, and look for your photographer early.  You can usually plan on giving the photographer a deposit at the time the wedding is booked, since most of them will not hold a date for you without one.

When you shop for a photographer, look for quality, service and coverage as well as price.  How many photographs is the photographer going to take?  How long will he stay at your wedding?  How many photographs in your finished album?  Try to find out just what you are receiving for your money.  Bad photographs are no bargain at any price.

The type of photographic coverage you want will depend largely on the size of wedding you are planning.  If you want a small, simple affair, then the photographer who takes 250 proofs is not for you.  On the other hand, if you are having an average wedding or a gala reception, you will not want to receive only 30 proofs or a photographer who leaves 15 minutes after your ceremony ends.

A word about the amateur photographer.  Your uncle or best friend may take beautiful pictures of nature, landscapes and family gatherings.  However a wedding may very well be beyond the capabilities of your friend and his equipment.  You can do yourself and your friend a favor by not asking him to take on the responsibility of taking your wedding portraits.  If an amateur does agree to take pictures for you, you can be sure that you have unfairly placed a great deal of pressure on your friend and if the pictures don't come out - a broken relationship may be the end result.

Once you have decided upon your photographer and your wedding date has been established in his appointment book, allow him the time to do the job that you have hired him to do when you are planning the rest of your wedding.   He will need approximately 45 minutes after your ceremony to do the group photographs of you, your families, and wedding party members.  He will need your cooperation throughout the day.  The more cooperation you give, the better your portraits will undoubtedly be.

Wedding Testimonials – What some of our customers from last year had to say….

"I just had to let you know how happy we were with all your help at Alison’s wedding. We expected Howard to be great and we weren’t disappointed. What we didn’t expect was all the guidance and support from your assistant, Theresa. What a tremendous help you were to Alison and our whole family. I can’t thank you enough"!

Carol and Tom Cambridge Springs, Pa.

"I just wanted to let you know what a fabulous job you did with our wedding photos. There were so many good ones to choose from, we had a hard time picking them out. We also wanted to thank your wife Theresa for making our wedding day extra special. The personal attention we received from the two of you did not go unnoticed".

Victoria and Jeremy. Willowick, Ohio

"Thank you so much for serving as our photographer at our wedding and reception. As always, you put us both at ease and captured some truly treasured moments. We are looking to enjoy our album for a long time".

BJ and Steve Edinboro, Pa.

"Thank you so much for photographing our wedding. The pictures are gorgeous. You did a wonderful job. Thank you so much for all of your help that day. I don’t know what I would have done without you both – you make an awesome team. It is so nice looking at the pictures – we did not have time that day to just stop and see how all that planning turned out and the pictures take us back. I cannot thank you both enough".

Justin and Dana Pittsburgh, Pa.

"Thank you for helping us to make our wedding day memorable with the wonderful pictures. The album turned out beautiful and we love the black and white photograph with the colored flowers. Thank you again for the photographs that will allow us to have wonderful memories throughout our lifetime".

Heather and Chuck Union City, Pa.

"You photographed both of my sisters weddings, but I wanted my wedding to be different. I looked at many other photographers and their work looked good, until I compared it with my sister's albums. That's why we went with you again"

Mary and Tom, Edinboro, Pa.

1.  One wedding  -  one photographer.

We only do one wedding per day so we won't be asking you to hurry through the events of your reception so we can leave for another wedding.  We have just one photographer photographing weddings, so when you look at the work done in our studio samples, you'll be seeing the work of your photographer.

2.  Large selection.

We do not count exposures.   We try to give you as many originals as possible from which to select.  When we do a group photograph, we take as many as necessary to try to get everyone looking good.

3.  Speed.

You are getting a husband and wife team when you book your wedding with us. Theresa and Howard work together to make sure your day goes smoothly. Their experience insures that your photographs are done as quickly as possible. Theresa is invaluable at handling those little crises that invariably occur.

4.  Quality.

We use only the best Kodak and paper.  The best album materials available.  All of our photographs and materials carry a lifetime guarantee.  We will replace any photograph free of charge, provided it has been cared for properly.

5.  Our philosophy.

It's your day, and we will do nothing that might spoil it for you!  We believe your wedding photographs are a very important part of your day, but only a part.  Neither the photographs nor the photographer should dominate.  Neither should become a hassle for you.  We are sensitive to your needs and respond to them in a competent and professional manner.   We want the day to be a pleasant and fond memory for you.
